Inspection & Compliance

Types of Inspections

1.Pre-Authorization Inspection
Conducted prior to the issuance of an authorization or license to verify readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
2.Planned Inspection (Announced and Unannounced)
Carried out to fulfil an inspection to provide sufficient confidence that regulatory requirements are being met.
3. Follow-up Inspections
Carried out to confirm that corrective actions have been implemented in response to previous inspection findings or enforcement actions.
4. Reactive (or Event-Driven) Inspections
Initiated by the Agency in response to unexpected, unplanned situation or an incident in order to investigate and assess its significance.

Service Overview

Inspection is an assessment carried out by the Agency through the review of documents, observation, measurements, and testing at any stage of the regulatory process. Section Under the Radiation Protection Agency Act, the Agency is empowered to conduct inspections to verify and assess radiation safety and security and to ensure compliance with the Act, applicable regulations and the conditions specified in the authorization.
